Can Anyone Realistically Beat Spotify In The “Streaming Wars”?
There has been a lot of discussion over the past few years about the “streaming wars,” a term that refers to the ongoing battle between the many streaming music platforms available to the public. It’s a sexy phrase, and while it does accurately describe how tough the industry is, it also makes it seem as if which firm is labeled as the biggest and most successful changes fairly often, or like it could.
It is true that as streaming has become more popular and as the general public around the world begins to learn more about what streaming music is and how it’s going to shape the future, there have been more companies entering the “race,” some as completely new entities, while others are beginning with healthy budgets thanks to the large brands behind them. Some have come and gone, while others have managed to stay afloat in the difficult business landscape that is streaming music, but in the end, there is currently and has been one leader for some time now: Spotify.
