The fast growth and changes in the music industry driven by new technologies and market needs are undeniable.
Together with 6 global music companies, International Music Business School is looking for the next generation of professionals who are able to adapt to the changes and design the industry landscape. Executive Diploma in Music Business Innovation is the only educational programme where the best companies trust students with creating innovative solutions for their future challenges.
During one academic year each of the global partners from different sectors pose 6 future-oriented challenges. Throughout the course students learn the principles of innovation, visualise the impact of new technologies, practice pitching their proposals to the management teams and gain other crucial skills for leading an ever-expanding music business.
David Loscos, Director of IMB School, explains, “We place students in a position where, for the first time, they could be the source of inspiration and valuable solutions for the whole music sector”.
This Diploma is specifically designed to showcase the students’ skills and help them build connections with leading companies. YouTube, Sony Music, Warner Music Group, Primavera Sound — these are just some of the companies that trust our students with finding solutions and who are happy with the results.
Sony Music:
“The solutions contain ideas and takeaways for us to think about. The processes used for the deep dive understanding, the way students have generated ideas and the presentation of the projects itself have all been outstanding. It’s impressive to see how such a young talent group with just some lines of information can make a return so close to our reality and real needs.”
Last year the programme gathered students of 12 different nationalities and with diverse professional backgrounds. They found this experience unique and crucial for their careers. “If I had to describe the Challenges module in some way, I would say it is a bootcamp for music business innovators. I believe there is no better way to quickly gain applicable knowledge and relevant context on the industry than participating in this class,” says our student Yana Asenova. For the academic year of 2022/23 IMB School and Primavera Sound will provide 6 full scholarships for the Executive Diploma students. Moreover, 6 more partial scholarships will also be available for students.
Future students can apply to both of these scholarships before the 17th of July.
