JOOX a Big Hit in South Africa; Naver, YG at Work on New Music Streaming Platform

Tencent Africa’s brand new music streaming app JOOX, that enables South Africans to listen to music wherever they are, is now also jam-packed with Afrikaans music hits.

Brett Loubser, CEO of Tencent Africa Services, says JOOX has already surpassed other music streaming services in the four other markets into which it has been released.

South Korean internet giant Naver and YG Entertainment said Wednesday that they would begin preparations to jointly build a new global music service platform by pooling their technologies, resources and global influence.
