Feed.fm, the leader in music services for the fitness industry, announced the results of its study, “The 2022 Mobile App Music Report,” which explored the connection between professionally curated music and its impact on fitness routines across digital fitness apps and connected devices.
The data revealed that curated music increases session times and overall retention rates. “We all know intuitively that workouts are more fun when accompanied by a great soundtrack, but it’s revealing to see just how dramatic the impact of music is on building a profitable digital fitness business,” said Feed.fm COO Lauren Pufpaf.
In 2021, interactive streaming, including subscription services and video streaming, accounted for about one third of the music royalty revenue generated in Japan.
