BMG CEO Thomas Coesfeld is wasting no time in implementing huge changes at the company. The company’s new boss recently announced that BMG will take control of its streaming business, following a long partnership with Warner Music’s ADA. While BMG is ending its association with Warner Music, it has now formed a significant new partnership with Universal Music Group.
Billboard Music Awards Teams With Spotify For Reimagined Digital Awards Show
The first-of-its-kind collaboration with Spotify is billed as a way “to bring fans up close and personal with their favorite artists.” “The BBMAs and Spotify have teamed up to identify fans who have consumed the most hours of music over the past year and helped drive their favorite artists to the top spots on the Billboard charts. These fans will receive a ‘golden ticket’ granting them access to attend a once-in-a-lifetime performance curated by their favorite artists, expressly for the ‘2023 Billboard Music Awards.’”
Super Hi-Fi Sees AI As Catalyst For ‘Radio Renaissance’
“A radio renaissance is upon us.” That’s the assertion from audio tech company Super Hi-Fi which sees “radical innovation” ahead for the industry. The catalyst is AI, according to the company’s Chief Business Officer, John Bolton. He’s not talking about roboticized voices replacing human DJs on broadcast radio but rather a new way to build “dynamic, localized, personalized, premium radio experiences of all kinds, at massive scale.”
